SlapStik Comedy Entertainment
I completed an internship for SlapStik Comedy Entertainment under Mecha Media. I created several articles and advertisements for their November 2024 magazine.
For this article I was given the body text and a style guide. I used SlapStik's color theme for the shadows behind the figures, placed them near their paragraph, and organized the text around them.
For this article I chose to draw the outfits that are related to the text. I also pulled important quotes from the article and placed them in speech bubbles to fill the space. Then, I used various orange patterns to fill the space accordingly.
This article required little text and more emphasis on the imaging. Therefore I matched each comedian with their merch brand. This layout was fun to create and more visually interesting than a traditional magazine layout.

This self-care-centered business wanted a new name and logo for their handmade soaps. The final design was inspired by both the colors of the wrapping paper, and the feeling they wanted to convey towards customers.

Gentle products for your sensitive skin.
The creation of Primary came from my personal struggle to find products locally that were safe for me and my skin to use. Back in 2022, I had a severe allergic reaction to the artificial fragrances in the products I was using. I had to throw out everything. Nowadays, I shop smarter - which has proven to be harder. Many beauty brands that claim to be "skin safe" or "all natural" still contain harmful ingredients and fragrances that do your skin more harm than good. Even if you find a shampoo that works for you, it's unlikely the same company carries an entire line of skin-related products.
From this frustration, I created Primary. Products of all kinds that are made consistently with the same fragrance-free guarantee.

Xavier Artisan at River Prairie
Xavier Artisan is a Bistro in Altoona, Wisconsin. During my time there, I made several advertisements that were shared with customers and the community. I also made online menus and promotional content that we'd post on our social media and display in the restaurant.
